Tamiya 1/12 312T4 windshield needed...Found! Thanks, B!

Post by Senna4Ever »

Thanks to everyone who replied. 👍

Restoring/rebuilding a partially built Tamiya 1/12 312T4 and the windshield is missing.
Tried Tamiya but it's long out of production and was told they only have spares for kits that are within 5 years of production date.
I know I might as well be looking for hens teeth while I'm here but you won't know if you don't ask!
Thanks!

Thanks, Bossy!
Saw that one already. In Canadian dollars it's about $60.00 delivered. Was hoping to find one for a better price. $40.00 to ship that little piece? Seriously?

It’s complicated, good and well valued kit and one of the more fragile parts. I’d say vac forming is by far your only game. Done by yourself or a charitable soul.
Me, I have two T4, one bound to become a T5 but surely cannot pass on the windshield.
Would you dare with a vac formed one?

Sadly, thats about what it is today. Last year I sent a piece smaller than that from US to Holland and it was over $20 usd. And depending on the size of the box a seller uses..... I'm always staggered that a sheet of decals can be so expensive to ship because they stick it in a BOX instead of a large flat envelope.

Yeah...there's an ad for 1 Tamiya paint brush. $3.50. Shipping to Canada? $32.00!! Blows my mind...

I have one. Do me a favor and go through the rest of your kit. Make sure there are no other missing parts.
