Re: Rain Tires
Thanks for the information, guys. I will do the right thing by not buying from him.
Re: Rain Tires
Aaaaah!!! I had not grasped it, Christian. Bad thing. That hurts. I saw my Schumacher-with-raised-fist figure copied and sold in China. Fortunately I don´t remember the sellercapri-schorsch wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 4:54 am Your "copy and paste" comment is exactly was he is doing. Just ask Daniel for example.

Re: Rain Tires
yes I watch him , he is very good , I find it hard to watch sometimes , moving the part around a lot in his hand etc .
but in the end you always learn or see a different way of doing something or a new product'
he must make good money , as the kits he builds are 800 a pop !
thanks James I will check it out ...cheers

Re: Rain Tires
Get rid of the idea buying from this guy, simply bad casted resin copies.
No idea who made them original, but there will be better sources to buy from in future.

Re: Rain Tires
That`s some kind of problem, not all want the same tires for the same car, that`s surely a reason why it will simply take time. I`ve seen a couple of guys with 3D printeres doing such stuff for different cars, newest release is the MP 4/2C correction set for the 1:12 italerie kit from Thomas, covers all the flaws the kit has including goodones template and paint sticks for tires as far as i know, a real delicious set in my opinion.
What kind of scale are we talking about? A 1:12 version? 1:20 ? Slick`s? Rain tires? Tamiya based or Ebbro?? Too much questions to make a prediction for your wishes.
Same question, what car? what design and which scale from which producer?
I`m sure there will be more of such sets in future, just a question of time.
In generell i have to say, if you try to design such stuff, you have to own the basic kit to ensure a good fitment finaly. Not sure if everything on the market is done that way, mainly i think so cause otherwise it makes no sence.
Example: You design Lotus 72 tires which fit to the 1:12 Tamiya kit and scale them simply down to 1:20 for the Ebbro version, i`m pretty sure it will not work out finaly caused by different dimensions and so on.
Somtimes it sounds easy to make something fit to another model or scale, but this is surely not the case when you want to create a good matching part of anything.
I will try to cover some things that i need on my own for sure, i also know that other things from other people are going on, so stay patient and see what`s coming up in future.
Take a stand!
