Lancia Stratos Turbo, Tamiya, 1/24

Post by MarcoSaupe »

Hi all,

the next car is leaving the garage, this time the Tamiya group 5 version of the Lancia Stratos, the old curbside, ex-motorized kit.
Not many parts in this one, but the decals were a challenge, I had a lot of touching up to do. Unfortunetely no Pirelli decal in the recent re-issue, and I didn't have anything suitable in the spare box.
Painted with TS26,29,8, Mr. Super Clear on top, I only added some seat belts and a few wires in the cockpit and replaced the exhaust with wire end ferrules, though they might be a bit shiny.

Hope you like it.

Very well done - beautiful build! Also somehow have missed "wire end ferrules" in my life up to this point - they look very useful indeed!

Hi Marco,

Nice to see your great model of this classic car!

It is a very basic model from the old times. However, you have built it so beautiful. The paint and decal job are top notch.

Thanks!

Lovely presentation of a great looking car!

I am impressed with your photographs as well! Do you use a photo booth/light box of some sort?

Thanks all :)

Nope, just some cardstock on a table in the back yard, not in direct sunlight, Camera in automatic mode, that's all.
