The pre-order prices seem to vary wildly....

Hi Eric,

Yes there is quite a variation in the pre-order price. I found a trusted one in Asia at around US$ 44, which is reasonable.

I just saw on bookface that apparently Kyosho is doing a few new.. die casts (1/12) in 2024. Among them is an F40 Competizione and a Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Spider. Pricing on that F40 is quite steep to be honest (989€), but will have to have a look at in person. The photos don't really convince me as they look like taken from a smaller scale. But maybe that's just me.

Anyway, linkage: HERE
Cheers,
Roman

I would not mind getting the Ebbro 1/20 Tyrell 005s I ordered back in April 2021.

I've seen references to a February or March release date, or "soon" per Spotmodel.

I am hoping its February or March of 2024.

:)

Does anyone have any inside information?

Don't hold your breath until it is released. As far as I remember I did see that project back in 2019 (if not the year before) at the Yokohama hobby forum. I wonder if this kit will ever be released.

In 2021 they showed the sprues ready at Shizuoka hobby fair, but ...they never released the 005 or 006.
It's a shame. They would do well releasing them and re-releasing their other kits as well.
