'64 Ford 427 Fairlane Saloon Car

Post by Jimmy »

This is what my version of a '64 Ford 427 Fairlane saloon car would look like for "SVRA" racing.

Thank you Bruce!
I used the Revell '64 Ford Fairlane Street Machine 2'n1 kit.
I used aftermarket Minilite wheels with some tires from the whoknowswhere box. I also blanked off the rear seat area and made the roll bar from scratch. Aftermarket racing seats and steering wheel were used.
From the parts bin I used a low-riser single four barrel intake manifold, air intake shroud and a MAD distributor cap & wires. The exhaust pipes were made from scratch.
The rear shackles were made from sheet pastic, drilled for three heights and held in place with shortened straight pins.
Note that I removed the trim that went down the sides from front to rear.
