Body is sanded and primed now and waiting for the Rosso Corsa, clear cote, decals and final clear cote.
Next step will be the motor construction.

Really impressive scratchbuilding! The symmetry is incredible. These kinds of scratchbuilds using another kit for a small base are some of my favorite.

Re: Ferrari 312 B3 1973 1:12
I'm going to use the Tamiya 312 T 1975 motor.
Option is the Tamiya 312 B motor, but this is out of scale, as to be seen in the next photo. And it differs in injection and ignition system.
The two magnesium cast motor mounts differ to the 73rd type, so I have to scratch new ones.
Two engine bearing plates are bolted to these magnesium mounts behind the monocoque.
These four structures are scratched from styrene sheet and tubes.
The manifolds for the inlet tubes
ware too narrow to the motor bearing plates, so I had to extend the cylinder head inlet ports.

Fantastic stuff!
I had no idea the Tamiya 312b and 312T engines were different! Great piece of info.

Oh that is indeed interesting to note. Shows I haven't bother to unbox the 312B yet. I was under the impression the 312B, 312T and T4 share the same sprue, so I could do one and copy it a few times. Alas no.
Cheers,
Roman
