WTB: 1/8 scale throttle return springs
I'm working on Pocher's Lotus 72D model; the Cosworth V8 engine in the kit doesn't not have the throttle slide return springs ,[see yellow area circled in photo] they would measure about 1mm in diameter and about 8-9mm long--any ideas where to buy these would be appreciated in advance, thank you

I would wrap my own. Probably the easiest way to get the exact dimendions you need.

Re: WTB: 1/8 scale throttle return springs
I don' t have the desired thickness wire Daniel; I need something like a 0.2mm diameter wire to make what I need. I wound some 26 gauge craft wire[0.4mm], but it is too thick.
Re: WTB: 1/8 scale throttle return springs
Two options for this problem:
#1 Top Studio Muffler springs for 1:12 cycles (They offer 2 different sizes) should fit
#2 cheap and enough for many future projects are guitar strings (also different sizes in thickness available)
Hope this helps

If there is an electronics supply store where you are located, see if they have wire wrapping wire. It is 30AWG so the core conductor diameter would be about 0.25mm.
Here is one example I found on Amazon.com:

Hope this is of help.

I may have something you need. Let me dig it out of the drawer. I’ll PM you.

Guitar strings are indeed a really nice thing to use. Either electric ones with hard steel “bone “ or Spanish one with soft nylon inside that you can easily remove without breaking the spring like shape and leaving it hollow

Re: WTB: 1/8 scale throttle return springs
I am making do with these, at least for now; found some0.2mm strands in a plastic coated wire and cut some plates from scrap sheet aluminum, with the popularity of the scale increasing there is a large lack of detail parts and detail parts suppliers. I'd like to see some photetched rotors, machined funnels and injectors in the correct scale [the kits injectors are too large] and machined plumbing fittings that don't cost a fortune for this kit. For the price I think Pocher has done a very good job at representing the 72D. What ever happened to guys like Ratner at /Thunder Valley, RB Motion, etc- the guys that used make parts for new models are they came out.
