Tamiya Lotus 107 & Studio 27 decals
Finally got some pictures taken, still need better lighting set up but they will do for now.
Lotus 107 as raced in the Australian GP 1992 by Mika Hakkinen.
Body is painted using Zero paints. All livery is masked and painted. Body is finished in Zero 2K clear gloss and the bare carbon fibre areas are decalled and finished with 3K satin finish.
Been a very enjoyable challenge to build this car. The extra yellow section on the nosecone was the reason I chose to model the Australian GP race car.
Hope you like it...

I also took these pictures with a colour themed background.

Wonderful build Davey. Pulling off such a livery by masking and spray is a monstrous job. Also nice choice to represent the Australian GP version, I hadn't noticed before the extra yellow bit on the nosecone.

Hi Dave,
Don't often get to see such a superb example of a built 107, let alone with a fully painted livery.
Thank you for sharing these images, they help explain the shortcomings that the yellow / darker yellow areas suffer from when using the kit decals.
Great work mate !!
Cheers, Paul
