Re: Best of 2022
I didn't get anything done this year. Last year it was around 12 1:20/24. I also find the MFH 1:12 Williams FW11B from Dede to be a very impressive masterpiece. As other models shown also turned out great. Thank you for showing me.

Re: Best of 2022
My output this year, in terms of F1 kits, was these four. All were reboot projects, to make room on the shelf. By the order, Tamiya's 1/20 Lotus 25 (Italian GP 1963 conversion), Ebbro's 1/20 Lotus 72 (Italian GP 1972 conversion), Hasegawa's 1/24 Zakspeed 891 and Fujimi's 1/20 Sauber C30 Japan GP 2011.
I hadn't even shown the Sauber C30 here in the forum yet, because I expected to have finished the C31 to show both together, but I didn't have time to finish the 2012 car.
I liked assembling the C30, as I had to make some improvements and invent ways to fix the bodywork to the floor, something that Fujimi does very poorly. But I didn't have much luck with some decals that were slightly damaged by the final varnish.
And I strongly recommend to anyone who has this model on their to-do list to not use the paint masks that Fujimi ships with the kit. It makes much more sense to make the color scheme INVERTED (dark grey first, then white) to get the fine pointy lines right. I tried on the masks and had to do a lot of touch up afterwards.
And oh yes, the kit instructions ask for a black and white livery, but it's wrong. It's a very dark grey instead of black. I used a BMW metallic color, Atlasgrau, which match with most of the best pictures I've seen of the real car.
Merry Christmas everybody!!

Oh, and not a new build, but I color corrected my Ken Miles Le Mans 1966 car after ascertaining with 100% certainty that the 'red' on the fenders was in fact dayglo red.

Re: Best of 2022
Only 4 cars this year (the big Lancia took a while...), but I also did some 3D printed real space stuff.
