Tyrrell 020B
I finished this one up the other day. Tyrrell 020B from 1992. I used some OLD Studio 27 decals that needed near boiling water just to get them off the paper, but at least they didn't crack. Other than that, pretty straight forward build. The one downside to the Tamiya 020 kit - for me - is that I couldn't get rid of that centerline seam down the nose without obliterating the center panel seams. I guess Tamiya hadn't figured out how to mould panel doors yet like they would for the Ferrari 310B kit .

Super.
What blue paint did you use for the main body?

Re: Tyrrell 020B
That looks great!
Did you have to do any mods to the kit or just apply the new colour scheme?
Malc.

Thanks everyone. I got a copy of GP Car Story: 020 hoping for a deep dive on all the 020s but they only went into real detail on the 91 car. The only really noticeable difference that I could find with the B is that in some races they closed off the side pods. My car is more or less the Japanese/ Australia set up where - I believe - they, at some point over those weekends, used both an open and a closed side pod. Having said that, i'm sure someone might point something obvious out and i'll go, " Yep, completely missed it". As it was, I came very close to missing the fact that the front wing was black. I had painted mine blue, applied the pinstripe, went to affix the nose to the body and THEN noticed! I had to some tricky masking. But who doesn't love a challenge?
