'65 Comet Cyclone

I figured that "Other" should be the best place to show this 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone.
I did this as as a remembrance to my younger days. I was 13 years old in 1965 and loved the looks of "Dyno" Don Nicholson Cyclones. In our neighborhood, we all had nicknames. "Jungle Jim" was my name. "Crouch's" Pharmacy was where we went to buy our comic books. They also had a lunch counter and served chili dogs, Cherry Cokes and Cherry Smashes.
Modifications that I made to the kit were to swap out the 427 SOHC engine that came with the kit for a 427 FE side oiler engine. Lower the sky-high front end so it had a better looking stance. Swap out the Crager mag wheels for some gorgeous chrome reverse wheels with white lettered tires and make the duct work that fits on the underside of the hood to complete the hood scoops.
