Well, I never would have predicted that out come. Not just Verstappen but 2&3 for Mercedes? Is Mercedes back in the hunt?

If Ferrari continues to play like that then Mercedes is back in the hunt...

Agreed. In this instance again, Mercedes was on the podium because of Ferrari's poor strategy. HAM will always be strong though, if the car is decent. Not my fave, but he is capable of some amazing stuff.

That was an interesting qualifying and race. I only caught the qualifying results as I am traveling this weekend. I had to watch the race without commentary, but it sure looked like Mercedes ran faster than Ferrari. Lewis on pace was only 10 seconds behind Max at the end of the race. It looked to me like Ferrari should have had a 1-2 before the pit cycles started. Ferrari was either slow or picked a strategy to run the race below their optimal time.

There is no way Lewis should have out run Ferrari over the course of the race based upon what we have seen so far this year but it sure happened.

Max is showing himself to be truly remarkable, started 9 or 10 Sergio Perez was behind both Lewis and George Russell by the end of the race. Just a very interesting race and I may have to watch it a second time with audio or watch and get some more commentary on why it broke down like this.

Ferrari inventing new ways to lose. So frustrating.
