Surtees, Peterson, Rosberg, Piquet, Senna and DeAngelis 1/20

Post by GF-F1 »

Hello,

I started some of my figure, I try to improve my painting with oil color, I sprayed first a layer of Humbrol.
I will try to represent the following driver, Surtees, Peterson, Rosberg, Piquet, Senna and De-Angelis.

So, let’s start the figure of Surtees that Thomas did with his Ferrari 158: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=32225

Here I did the grey first and I’m going to do more and more white.

For the faces I try to go from the dark to lighter colours, I don’t know if it is a good strategy, just this kind of colour need a lot of time to dry.

Thanks for watching, I hope to show some more pictures soon.

Cheers

Thanks Marcel,

In fact, I engrave now almost all the last of my figures, and then it is easier with a 10/0 brush to paint the lines.

Hi Franck, they are looking great!
I already have your Peterson figure, but I didn't knew about your recent additions. Piquet and de Angelis will surely find a place in my stack.

the new figures are available now .

one question about the colour of the Surtees' shoes that you use for your figure, do you have color pictures of those?

There are 1-2 photos, I have to look for them. But they are leather or suede shoes. The color is relatively dark.

Surtees once wore an authentic outfit to drive the Ferrari 158 in Goodwood.
I mainly followed the picture on the right from (John Surtees, Ferrari 158, Grand Prix of Netherlands, Zandvoort, 24 May 1964).

Thanks a lot Thomas, I'll probably paint the shoes in dark brown then.
