Interesting point as I am working on a Tamiya P34 right now. Are you talking about the front wheels? And do you think the size of the rims could be still correct?

The width of the Fujimi tires is one millimetre more, but the diameter is the same.
Both of them have too big wheels (rims) though, they should be one millimetre smaller in diameter, but I think you will not notice. It's more the width. Particularly, if you remove the raised lettering.

What about the 1/12 Tamiya kit? Are the tires and wheels reasonably accurate?

IIRC, it was in the Tamiya catalog for 17 continuous years, then reissued repeatedly. Surely an all time great!
