Great work Thomas! :)
I have to agree, Meshmixer is realy tough when using the first time, it`s a long learning progress, struggling hardly with my own works.
Take a stand!

But it works and of course it is always better to recreate it, that simply causes the fewest problems… :)

Blender has some good tools for mesh editing. And it’s free

Designed some new mirrors in the right Azerbaijan design.

Old and new version.

I removed the old mirrors and adjusted the front edge again.

The fit of the newly designed mirror was great, I had expected more problems, but it was very good.

Then I designed and printed a few additional wings for the side pods.

Again, I thought there were bigger problems due to the very thin and curved shape. But even here everything went much better than expected.

I agree, not friends!! Tried Blender and watched a lot of videos on YouTube around 2013. Never really figured out how to do anything, maybe I watched the wrong videos!?

IndyCals recommended SketchUp and after a few YouTube videos, I had printable parts in almost no time. Last year, I did some Fusion 360 tutorials - very powerful! Now I started a new project last week and went back to Sketchup. If I cannot get my spring right, I might try F360 again.

Your AMR21 reminds me how much I want a resin printer.

Sketchup is also a little creepy to me, but maybe I need to deal with it more. But my first experience just wasn't intuitive enough.
And F360 is a little bad with the Mac, but maybe I have to see that I can still connect to Windows here.

So after a long time without and update now some pictures of the painted chassis.

In the last few days I have primed everything and also painted some parts (wheels, suspensions and cameras) in black. Today was finally the moment of truth and I painted the body, the rear wing and the headrest.

The Aston Martin Racing Green is really great and has an incredible range in terms of color differences. In the dark it is a deep and incredibly strong green, in the sun, on the other hand, it is a very light green with a bluish tinge or almost a mouse gray. Many who had already seen the AMR21 live reported something similar, so I think I can't be so wrong and I have to say it looks great.

It does Look Great, will look even better when the decals go on.
I know what you mean about some colours and how they have such a contrast and range of appearances depending on the available light.
