Aston Martin AMR21 2021
Because building just one kit/model doesn't always go on the same way and you always have to wait a few days...
whether it's the drying of painted parts or the procurement of decals, I have began the Aston Martin - Baku version.

This start was also a few days ago.
The current status is the prepared decals - the size still has to be adapted to the 3D print/model.

And I printed all the parts of the model.

I treated myself to a new printer with a build plate of 192x120mm - it's awesome!
I can now print the model almost in one piece - without having to divide it into small pieces - simply brilliant!

And some more detailed photos from the printed parts...

Where did you find this drawing/stl-file?
I am looking for a Red Bull RB16 file.

This model was also from a brazilian colleague. I know he didn't make an RB16, but I know of an RB16B being planned.racingkars wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:06 am Where did you find this drawing/stl-file?

Re: Aston Martin AMR21 2021
hey nice/impressive work/print... Which printer?
At first i thought your printer printed a little 'fat' because of all the rounded edges on the body, but on seat i see sharp edges. I think model would benefit from little sharper edges, no?

I need to have a talk with my 3D Printing Company if they can work with this.

Re: Aston Martin AMR21 2021
Thanks guys at first.
The pictures also resolve some things very well, if you have the model in front of you, I have to say that I sometimes can't see some things as the photos show.
I am very satisfied with the print and just wanted a few more details such as the separation between the individual car body elements or even finer wing elements. But I have to say the printing with the Saturn was not that easy and I also needed a second attempt for the chassis to get an error-free print.
I printed with the Elegoo Saturn.
Yes, you're right, the model might benefit from a few "sharper" edges here and there. But it was also designed to be able to print it with an FFF printer and that is where the difference or the inconsistency lies. Some things could be further detailed, again I have to say it is a huge challenge with an FFF printer to print such a model without errors and many of the details that the SLA makes possible cannot be seen.bestbalsakits wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 8:29 am hey nice/impressive work/print... I think you have to separate some of the element for a print, maybe it's possible with meshmixer.racingkars wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 9:09 amThnx... i already noticed that one.steinietrabi wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:42 amThis model was also from a brazilian colleague. Such complete models always have the disadvantage that they are more difficult to print and of course less difficult to paint.

Re: Aston Martin AMR21 2021
Very nice looking indeed . The Ferrari 641/2 (F190) had the some kind of "stepped" Floor. We'll see next Year if there's gonna be something like that.
