Nice, that the kits are getting released. However, it would be even better if kit photos were out there.

Re: 1/8 Lotus 72 Pocher...
On Facebook you can see some first builds. People think the kit is ok but they are not excited about it. Issues with fitment and the instructions seams to be from a different kit. But for 750€ it looks like a nice kit. Better than some of the partwork kits out there.
Criticism is easy, but make something better is hard.

There are a lot of pictures out there, especially Facebook. Not for me. I personally don't get the half built kits, OK some people struggle with gloss painting so it's ok but I guess I stick with the Entex kit. Don't see an advantage for me getting the Pocher kit.

Yes, Facebook has the pictures. However, I don't get the pre-painting of the kit. If someone has insight as to why this was done I would appreciate it.

Re: 1/8 Lotus 72 Pocher...
I fear there are a lot of people ouit there that are happy to build the kit with minor to no painting and still end up with an OK looking model.
Re: 1/8 Lotus 72 Pocher...
Painting doesn't appeal to a lot of people who either don't live in a setting that permits it easily or, more to the point perhaps, want a hobby that they can pick up and put down at their convenience with no setup time and no cleanup.
Some don't have the skills, some don't want to make the investment in tools and development of the necessary skills and some have no tolerance for the chemical fumes. A model that can be done step-by-step with no requirement for chemicals in the home is very appealing to what I suspect is quite a large segment of the market for big kits.

Re: 1/8 Lotus 72 Pocher...
As with any kit, the devil is in the detail. Having almost 15 1/8 kits built and several more on deck, I can tell you that having a well painted body is a blessing if you don’t have the skills and want to focus on the details. It also takes a great deal of time and skill to strip down and paint a 1/8 model, much more that a 1/20 or a 1/12. But the results far outweigh the smaller scales to me.
I have 3 643s, 2 Pocher F40s and the Panini F40LM in progress and all except the LM were painted and it was a lot of effort. Even the LMs paint was dull and lifeless and I brought that back. All are being super detailed and that’s where the fun is. You can only do so much to a smaller model. 1/8 is almost limitless. My point is the are more than ok, even box stock.

I see the point. But as I understand the Pocher 72 has the decals applied. Possible, that someone can produce decals in the future?
