Which type of glue for pre assembling a Tamiya kit?

Post by gp-models »

Which type of glue do you use to pre assemble a Tamiya kit?
My intention is to pre assemble a 1:12 Tamiya kit to check the ride hight, and i`m not sure which glue i can use for it. It has to be removable without issués, but strong enough to hold it together.
Do you use white glue for wood to do this job or what else? A product that is available on the european market will be recomended.

I often use white glue or that and a combination of tape and blu-tak..

For pre-assembly I normally use a small dot of PVA ( wood glue ), blu-tak, Tamiya tape and even old CA glue which has lost most of its strength.

The use of any of the above depends on the type of parts being held together.

Thank`s for the tips mate`s, i will give it a try :)
I heard about the blue tak, but did not know if it is available here in europe. in the mean i need only to fix the cockpit with the engine and transmission box, no details needed for that. Then i will try to change the radius arms to the right lenght, will use RBM parts for this, so it its needfull to cut them to size. All that needs to be done before i start building and painting, don`t want to get in trouble when some mean parts are painted and i have to change something again. ;)
Thank`s again for fast reply! That`s why i love this forum! :D
