Thanks for the generous comments chaps.
Chris, not sure if much of the kit will make it on to the final finished model!!!!
Have done some more today, cut the air scoops in the side of the nose and started casting my own wheel rims... (! Marcus - loving the Matra BTW, I really want to make an MS10 and MS11 so you WIP will really be useful)

So fellow F1M'ers, what are your opinions on casting a body cowl and tub in resin from the parts I have made versus using the Ureol as it is? Guess I need to spray a Ureol test piece?

Making copies of photoetch from styrene sheet. I've done it before with some success. Do you have any tricks to make it easier, or are you just super careful and patient?

Hi AP, just draw round it, then (depending on thickness) chop it out with some strong scissors or sprue cutters and sand to final shape.

Every time I start thinking about my 1/20th scale Ferrari 158 project I think of the thread. Any hope of seeing an update sometime soon Malc?

Hi Paul,

It keeps looking at me reproachfully from the the shelf of doom!

I got stuck with the body which went all a bit Pete Tong. I realised that I should have done the body first and got everything to fit inside, rather than do the inside and then get the body to fit.

I will get to it one day!

Hi Paul,

Bit of a shock to see this back at the top again!
Strangely I have been turning the next steps of this over in my mind, to the extent I have been doing a bit of preparatory work in the shape of making an A4 size vac form box to form the body work.
Winter is coming!
Thats the time I do most of my car modeling, so maybe soon!
(but after the Ligier......)
