Great work BigD - that was a lovely looking car and you are doing it justice.
One thing, the decal on the nose says 'Petronras'
- should that not be 'Petrobras'?

Re: FW22 Williams BMW :: WIP
Good spot on the decals! weird huh =)
Anyway- more progress. It would seem that the clear has eaten away at the blue ever so slightly on the front wing and in a big way on the rear wing. Not to worry, I'll just leave off the upper most rear wing element & the front wing is hardly noticeable.
Reused belts from FW24 & polished out the body with micromesh + tamiya polishing compound. Quite happy with the result. All that remains now is the inside wing end plates (flat black) and wheels \ tyres & brakes.

I'm always happy to see your work Duke ,very nice!!
Quick question, how can you get by with leaving off one of the wing elements? Is it the upper element at the front of the assembly?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Big D, Your making a very good job of a poor kit,how did you find the decals? The ones in my kit were pretty poor.

Re: FW22 Williams BMW :: WIP
Hi Alex - Other than the paper getting stuck to the blue parts, the decals have been great. The carrier film is invisible on almost all the decals (blue writing on the cowling for example). Reacted well to decal softener & didnt react with clear.
Overall I'd say this is a pretty good kit - but I've made a few mods so not sure how it would build straight out of the box. The mounting points for suspension arms and wings are way too thick and needed replacing with brass rod.
Wheels are now on for a test fit and the "plank" sits 1mm off the ground in actual terms, so pretty happy with the ride height.
