Hi
Very very very good looking finish on that model. I agree that the colour is absolutely a modellers nightmare! Even in real life it is very difficult to judge. One thing for certain though - there is no hint of a metallic even watching the surface very closely. It is clearly a coloured clear over a metallic primer of some sort.

I'll say again how great I think your F2007 looks!!! The paint and finish have turned out fantastic. How are you planning to do the wheels, I mean the color/finish?
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Ferrari F2007 Chinese GP (Thinned!!) GB Project
Hi guys finally time for the last update before i will move it to the completed section. This is completed up to 95% except for adding the antenna, more tires markings and weathering since its a car at the end of the race, etc..
Still not totally happy with the red paint, no matter how long i look at it, it just doesnt satisfy me totally. Frustrating.. Nevertheless, im going to show you guys the different color effect due to different lighting condition. More ORANGE the next time when i'm going to build my MFH or Fujimi kit! BTW, i just realized my rear tires were inserted on the wrong sides, they should be reversed!! Well i will get it mix when i get back this weekend.
Thanks for looking

WOW!!! Its very hard to believe its a revell kit, I would not have believed it except you proved it is in your WIP, Your attention to what needed to be done to correct the kit certainly looks to have paid off and the colour from your pics also looks spot on, all in all very impressive results,
Congrats...
Dede.

that's a crazy good looking build ! I just find the tyres a bit big but your finished model really looks killer.

Hi thanks for the comments! Well, maybe i guess the camera angle because i shot it too close which results in this view. Nevertheless, i did increase the diameter by about 1 mm because i inserted a thin piece of plastic sheet in the inner rim to make it look fuller and this may also explains why. Thanks again!Manu wrote:that's a crazy good looking build ! I just find the tyres a bit big but your finished model really looks killer.
