Looking for 1:20 fuel inlet
Hi All,
Hoping someone may be able to help me with a spare fuel inlet piece for Tamiya's 1:20 Jordan 191. It's the small circular piece which is located directly behind the roll hoop.
I could even entertain the idea of buying the full kit instead if someone has a spare 191 kit available.
Thanks in advance...
Cheers, Paul

Re: Looking for 1:20 fuel inlet
Do you mean this one?
Part B1
If so, what would you think if I 3D recreated and printed it?
Greetings Thomas

I have that piece left over if you want it.
If Thomas does a printed version if will be better/more accurate though

Yes steinietrabi, that is the piece I’m looking for. If you were to 3D print it that would be fantastic. Let me PM you so we can discuss further.

Many thanks for your kind offer Jaykay. I will go with the 3D printed option for now, but will keep your offer in mind when you are searching for a part I can help you with.

Re: Looking for 1:20 fuel inlet
Sorry for the hijack, but are you using a 3d scanner to make a 3d model of that so quickly or are you creating it from scratch?

Re: Looking for 1:20 fuel inlet
I have a scanner, but I don't use it for things like this. That's too easy. Here I simply used a caliper, eyesight and 2 reference images.

Re: Looking for 1:20 fuel inlet
That looks really good.
Re: Looking for 1:20 fuel inlet
That part is too small for a 3D scanner to get a useful scan and the Tamyia part isn't accurate because it's made for injection molding with a simple 2-part mold.
The accurate part Thomas created couldn't be made that way.
