is this the end?

Post by capri-schorsch »

Hi guys,
right now there are the Sepang Shakedown Tests going on.
I know the aerodynamics is a thing that is necessary in modern days racing.
If its needed its a different thing.
But have you seen this thing that KTM was testing today?

The rear end of the Aprillia is looking like a Batmobil.
I am a bit afraid what is Gigi Dallingia bringing next week on the new Ducati GP24?

What are your thoughts about this Aero-War in MotoGP?
I dont think this is really necessary. The bikes are much faster than 2-3 years before but the Circuits are not safe enough anymore.
Will they stop this thing before or after the first is seriously hurt?

hi..new rules are getting drafted as we speak , aero , ride height and electric sifting aids gone for 2026.
main problem is wash off the bikes upsetting the rider following .
also bikes rubbing each other get caught up ...well trouble .
I love it , but has to stop ...news soon

Hello,

I found this funny drawing :D

The aero is too much in my opinion in every racing categories, what's about the reduction of the cost ???? and may be safety problem for the moto categories in case of crash with several riders

Cheers

I agree that they should go. My concern is about that prospect of little bits of shattered carbon fiber littering the track, although punctures haven’t seemed to be a big problem yet, I suspect if the the aero devices continue to grow it will become a issue. This wouldn’t be the first time aero has been reined in, as I recall the FIM banned the enclosed “dust bin” bodywork in the late 50’s.

In all seriousness though. Dayum, they ugly. But then again I've been thinking the same of the formula 1 trucks for some years now and yet they still go on with those ugly af things.
