Hello everyone, I have been away from the Forum for a long time and wanted to reconnect again. To get going I wanted to share a tip on making your own sanding stick/pad.
Using a padded mounting tape that had adhesive on both sides, you can make up a varity of different sanding sticks. By itself it is a nice padded option. But if you want something firmer sandwitch the pad and sand paper over a coffee stir stick.
As you can is in my example you can label the stick with what grit you used.
If you don't feel like making your own I visit Sallys' Beauty supply for all the sanding sticks I need and a good cost.

Re: Sanding options
I've been doing it the same way for several years. I glue square, triangular and round rods in different thicknesses. Premium Hobbies offers metal plates in different shapes. Tapered or parallel, which can be covered with sandpaper. These are very useful adapted grinding rods for special grinding work. Use them on every project.
