My first JR Salvino Camaro

Post by Shunter »

I thought I would make a start on something new over the holidays. This is my first go at th3 new Camaro kit, it certainly does not borrow anything from the old Monogram kits that’s for sure. The build up is very different, but I used Clay’s build up of the chassis as a valuable guide.
Not sure in car as yet…

Off to a good start! How’s the body look? Can you show the decal sheet?

I just pre built and painted my version

Only disappointment is the seat and part of the very visible intake in engine was molded incomplete

Need to resolve this with them

Thanks for posting the pics, it's great to see what a kit looks like prior to throwing down cash.

I'm trying to figure out if it will be useful in building the Garage 56 Camaro that will be racing at LeMans. I have also had some Trans Am conversion thoughts.

Thanks guys, the body looks very good and well in proportion. The roof rail on the left needs to be extended, for some reason it ends shorter than the right hand side.
Decals 8 have decided to go with the Darlington through back Coke scheme of Ross Chastain, this is a tribute to Dale Earnhardt when they did the exhibition race in Japan.
