Reference Pictures & Plans

Post by Hacksaw »

Pictures
Here is a link to web site that I found that has lots of pictures of racing cars from the mid 1960’s to late 70’s early 80’s:

There are some modern cars in there as well which appear to be from track days.

There is a drop down button / tab to change the language but that doesn’t always appear so I have had to make do with the original German on occasions. Even so it looks to be a great place to spend an hour or three surfing the images, these are mainly from the Nürburgring but also from Monza and other European circuits that have held international events.

Here is a sample link of the contents, scroll down about a third of the way; it looks as though the 1970 Ferrari budget didn’t run to a rear bodywork support when the mechanics were working on the car:

Plans
Previously I have drawn the attention of forum members to the VSRN web site and its collection of plans and articles on racing cars from the mid 1950’s to the early 1970’s. Unfortunately, this site is no longer managed but the contents have been taken over by the Classic Slot Car Racing Association and the plans are now accessible via this link:
