Modern F1 diecasts and cases

Post by f1m »

HI,

Anyone else notice how huuuge modern F1 diecasts are in 1/18th scale? I've been looking for display cases (hopefully for more than one car) and I don't think I've found one that is big enough..

They are Spark or LookSmart diecasts and I'd rather not separate them from their bases...

Here is a comparison...

Hobby Lobby has one that is 15 1/2 inches long. Just styrene , nothing too fancy but they work.

Try “shopPOPdisplays”. You can build display cases in custom sizes. They’re not cheap, but you can differentiate the size you need for a particular size model.

That's a cover for a single Spark diecast. I have one, but it does not quite fit over the base.

But I'm looking for a multi car case...

Hi,

Yeah, I found them. Not cheap is a bit of an understatement

For example, a case like this >> https://www.amazon.com/Acrylic-Display- ... 4B8M4&th=1

is really not wide enough for 18th scale F1 cars...
