Lancia Delta, Italeri, 1/12
Hi,
it's taken 8 months, but I finally finished my annual Martini-model - the new, big Delta by Italeri.
The kit was released end of 21, so still brand new, but it has good and bad sides. Positive: It's a 1/12 Delta! Decals are good, etched parts, nice details, fit is mostly good. The moulds seem to be a bit... old school - thick sprues, visible parting lines, ejection marks, a couple of sink holes. Same thing with the included cables and hoses - one kind of hose is perfect, I'd like to get a roll of those, the other kind is unusable. Clear parts have a couple of surface problems, you have to polish away. They are also very heavy du to the size, so glueing them with white glue/Liquitape won't work. Maybe it would be an option to cut the side windows from clear plastic yourself.
Overall fit is good, just the engine cover I can close at the front or the back but not completely on both sides, when I want it to be openable - unfortunately that's an area you can't really dry fit.
But alltogether a good kit, and the result looks great in the cabinet.
I'd suggest to paint the body first and leave it to dry for a month, since you'll have to handle it a lot, later.
Painted with TS26,49,17,29,Alclad, Mr Super Clear on top; almost everything OOB, with some minor details added.
Hope you like it.

Very clean as usual. Looks very cool with the Martini livery.
It's a perfect build with build with boo flaws.
Great job Marco!
Just saw that there will be a upgrade kit from KMP coming. Will wait for it before I start with mine.

Awesome build. The clarity of the windows is amazing, did you treat them in some way?
Thanks for sharing.
