I finished up my McLaren M8d earlier this week. I had to deal with a warped tub to begin with, then, a lot of fit problems crop up unexpectedly late in the build. But, over all I have to be mostly satisfied with the way it turned out. Trying to find one model of the M8d, I wound up with two. I was planning to to the Dan Gurney version (which I still do), but, something started screaming at me saying "You need to do this in Gulf livery!" So here is the result of that effort.

Re: Gulf-McLaren M8d 1/20
Hi Jimmy, looks really good, especially in this timeless livery.
Anyone who finishes one of these kits has done some hard yards. They are not easy. Mine had a twisted chassis tub also (which led to gaps between inner and outer tub), that required much work to resolve. Its great to see another one built up, and now you know whats required when you build the Dan Gurney version . (I will also add a few more pics to my build thread to show my prep work) Well done! Cheers Tim
