Oooo, don't want to confuse anyone (wastgate), the picture I posted above is the real deal in order to show Michaels method is closest to the real thing.
I would wish I could achieve anything close to that!

I think combining Dave's and michael's method is the way to go. The yellow effect for the resin color look and the 'roughing up' method with a wash for the fibre effect.
