Time for talent. These guys haven't any of that. Schwartzman is a very interesting driver but his final part of the season is disappointing, in coincidence with the rising of Schumacher. Casualty?feelgood wrote:Been a long time coming..... Time for new talent! Illlot...Shwartzman...
Let's see if Theo Pourchaire confirms expectatives next year in F2 and Schwartzman goes again to the level showed in the first half of the year. Guanyu Zhou is another guy to follow and the Spanish David Vidales. First year in a single seater, racing in the Formula Renault Eurocup and is currently 3rd. He won his first two races at Imola, without any acknowledgement of the car and the circuit.
Re: Exit Grosjean & Magnussen
LOL. Seems like just a couple of years ago people were saying it was time for Button/Alonso/Kimi/Vettel/Hamilton to retire in favour of fresh talent... like Magnussen and Vandoorne (and Frijns, Rosenqvist, Rossi and the like)
How fickle fandom can be.

Je ne regrette rien.

It's very simple. When the young ones are faster than the olds, it's time to retire. So, bye bye Vettel and Kimi. If next year Ocon is faster than Alonso, he should quit too

Alonso is around for 2 years. It doesn't make any sense.Joaquin wrote:It's very simple. When the young ones are faster than the olds, it's time to retire. So, bye bye Vettel and Kimi. If next year Ocon is faster than Alonso, he should quit too

I don:t get bringing Alonso back, I know he is good but I doubt he is that special anymore. It is kind of like getting an old Rookie as he has been out of f-1 now for a long time.stubeck wrote:Alonso is around for 2 years. It doesn't make any sense.Joaquin wrote:It's very simple. It seems that neither Grosjsean nor Magnussen were able to achieve what HAAS wanted from them, so bye bye.
Raikonnen and Vettel was also not able to do what Ferrari wanted from them, so they were also sent on their way.
Only Hamilton is the last man standing.
And for my view, it's not that fandom can be that fickle, its just that some expectations do not come true. I had high hopes for Grosjean when he arrived in F1, but he was never able to deliver.
Vandoorne too. Only he got ditched too soon, and Grojsean got to stay for at least two years too many.
