F1tommy wrote:Not F1 but a Ferrari and a stunner. The 1/24th Ferrari 250 Bertone 1962 Torino and Geneva show car is out and will also be done in 1/32nd and 1/43rd scales by the same maker. The wire wheels are hand laced and chromed along with the bumpers and it has full engine/chassis detail. He also has several vintage 1/20th F1 kits planned for people who like that scale.
What maker are you talking about?

I wonder why it has taken so long for someone to do this kit. I bet there will be an early Shadow DN9 Villiger car to follow since both cars came from the same drawings!!!

Yes, yes, yes!
I've been waiting for that for a long time. I would like three versions:
- white Brazilian version
- white/gold South African version (where Patrese nearly won)
- golden Monaco version
And yes, a Shadow DN9 should follow too.

FPPM has posted photos of the wire wheels he will use on the 1/20th scale Auto Union and Mercedes pre WWII cars he is doing. They are hand laced and much nicer than photoetch as many of you that have the 1/24th models of the same cars know. I told him the F1 1/20th scale guys are very fussy about construction and fit no matter how accurate you make it. Also the 1/20th F1 guys love everything as long as it says made in Japan. Prove me wrong and buy these made in Portugal kits.
