Well I am going to call this finished bar one thing, the grill facia is still to be done which I will work on shortly. I have ended up happy with the overall build, it was meant to be an out of box which it is almost but due to issues with the 2K etc this has been around for a LONG time. Paint was Tamiya TS-14, Testors Competition Orange and 2K prior to decals going on. I like the look of the car as it is simple and without all the contingency decals has a clean finish.

Re: AJ Foyt Brickyard Test Car
Nice job Shane!
What year is the car? Did AJ actually drive the car. I thought he retired in the early nineties and I think the first brickyard 400 was held in 1992.

Very nice tribute car.
The first Brickyard 400 was run in 1994 and AJ ran a #50 Thunderbird in the event.

Re: AJ Foyt Brickyard Test Car
Chris the first Brickyard was in 1994, there were two tests done prior to the inaugural race which AJ took part in both. The car I have built represents the 93 car he drove. He did race in the first race but used a Rusty Wallace Thunderbird as the base.
