There were some good races, and then DRS came in and it became a typical "pass halfway down the straight" track. The new tarmac should make it interesting, but I wish we only had a 2 day weekend instead of a 3 day one to make it more interesting.

The track itself has a nice layout. I think it's one of Tilke's best designs. The greasy, slippery surface from the fresh bitumen made it look like they re-paved it at 4AM this morning. The lack of support series putting additional traffic on the surface could keep things interesting/bizarre if the track doesn't really scrub in by Sunday afternoon. Racing on that fresh of a repave kinda sucks.

Having watched the qualifying session I think this has the makings of a great race! - Zolder '73 anyone?
