Sauber Mercedes C9 Tamiya 1/24

Post by fazmodeller »

The Sauber-Mercedes C9 is a Group C prototype race car introduced in 1987. In 1989 it achieved a historical one-two triumph at Le Mans as well as winning the World Sports Car Championship. The Tamiya 1/24 scale kit is enhanced with photoetch parts to improve realism. Paints were Tamiya TS 17 and TS 13 Clear as well as Tamiya and Alclad lacquers and Testors metallizers.

Good Job :) ! Is this the latest re-issue with AEG-livery because of the Photoetch?

Hi Steve,

You have done a very good job on this C9 car. The highlight for the door seam looks so nice.

Looks great. What did you use to mask the windshield? The only thing keeping me from starting mine is that I've been trying to find the Hobby Design windshield mask. Been looking for about a year now.

I didn't have a windshield mask either. Just used the old fashioned way of Tamiya tape and patience.
