Re: Tamiya Porsche 962C Shell/Dunlop WIP 1
Hello, everyone!
Thank you for a lot of comments.
My 962C slightly progressed.
I changed wheels for 956 kits.
Original. large in size. Sprint race spec.
956 wheels.
Because wheel diameter is smaller, 962C kit's Suspension and Upright are not usable. I changed the gearbox assembly.
It seems good. That needs a little more adjustments.
Thank you for watching.
Have a happy new year!

The advice from you was very helpful. Thank you!jaykay wrote:
Besides the shortcomings of the kit, that you already adressed, there a quite a few differences between the shorttail and LeMans '88 version. You don't mention it, but it looks like you already changed the nose shape to low downforce shape, but you missed one important bit. The rear wheels are too big for LeMans. They should have the same diameter as the fronts and not the bigger ones for sprint races. Because of that the surface of your rear deck is too high and the shape of the vertical fins isn't right either.

You should instead use the rear deck and wheels of a 956 kit.

Ooooohhh, another build to enjoy , definitely looking forward to it .
You made just a few parts, eh? Gotta ask, was there anything left of the body? Always love your work, looking forward to seeing more.
Cheers,

Re: Tamiya Porsche 962C Shell/Dunlop WIP 3
Hello, everyone!
I added some detail of 962C
Modify the wheels. “speedline” 6 spoke.
956 rear wheel.
The front wheel also makes a spoke wheel.
It's completed.
Transaxle right side casing.
Original.
As usual.
The decal of the template.
To drill a plate. Cut a groove.
It's completed.
Temporarily installation.
Modified rear cowl. Lowered more.
Thank you for watching.
