Noticed in several illustrations that you installed piping and wiring. Since it is not part of the instruction sheet I assume you are working from prototype photographs. I find these illustrations and information priceless. Appreciate and closely following your progress.
Today I received my McLaren MP4/2 kit from HLJ, it certainly made my day. However, I was disappointed in Model Art magazine's coverage as after the advertised cover picture the applicable material inside the magazine were restricted to just a few pages. Hope that one of their auto special editions will provide additional coverage. Yours is quite excellent and will certainly lead my way through the kit.
Thank you for sharing.

Yea I'm using as many photos as I can find or have. Trying to do the best I can with what I have available. It won't be perfect but I think it will look pretty good when all is said and done. This is really the first time I've ever gone full detail in a kit.

Thanks for the support!

Work on the air intakes is almost complete. Adding wires, paint, and a few decals to come. I added the engine air of so that I can affix the hose clamps. Would be too hard with the engine in the way. There's enough give that it shouldn't be a problem to add the air box to the top of the engine later.

Also got the exhaust done. Didn't go too crazy won't be too visible once everything is closed up. Again shouldn't be hard to squeeze the engine inbetween the exhausts.

Also got the nose painted. Cleared it today so will show a shiny picture next time. TS-16 pure white decanted (first time!) and scalefinishes Ral red.

Very nice. Good detail and the red & white look ultra sharp. Top work!

I'm on vacation so it's been on hold for the last two weeks. I wanted to get the body painted before we left but just never found the time. I've got about a two week crunch to try to get it done for my local clubs contest. Then another week for a NNL show if I go. And about 5-6 weeks to get it done for our big model show beginning of November. So I definitely should have it by then but hopefully sooner. Push push!

The push is on. Couldn't sleep so why not do some modeling before the Singapore GP?

Engine is finally attached to the floor pan! Fit was superb and it's not even glued.

Everything lines up and is nice and snug!

Working on the front wing endplates as well. Here's the completed nose cone. Although I have to paint the underside black still.
