(UPDATED) Melbourne GP 2019 - pics from pitlane
***now updated with pics from Sunday, and contains some race results. If you haven't yet seen the race and don't want to know, please return to this thread later***
hi guys,
here is the usual - please note there is a small spoiler about FP1
It is also "usual" in that the Haas again proved elusive this year... But if it finishes the race on Sunday, I may be able to catch it in the scrutineering area afterwards.
Prior to the race there was a season launch event in Melbourne CBD with all drivers and team principals attending, it was a big success with huge numbers of fans turning out.
Enjoy the race!
2019 Season Launch, Melbourne CBD
The drivers & team principals arrive by boat
Kimi speaks to the masses. He got a huge roar from the crowd when he walked on stage
MERCEDES
the outer edges of the Pirelli tyres are very glossy this year
Sebastian Vettel checks out the opposition
Congrats to Valtteri Bottas, an outstanding drive
FERRARI
should've used more Microsol and hairdryer
Warm-up before pitstop practice
RED BULL
RENAULT
4-time champion Alain Prost
Congrats to Castrol Australia, centenary year
HAAS
McLaren
RACING POINT
ALFA ROMEO
TORO ROSSO
WILLIAMS
note how the left tyre conforms perfectly to the shape of the curb
other stuff
Melbourne - great place for a race
Ford Mustang returns to Aussie touring car series, very competitive so far
On the other hand, Nissan will pull out at the end of the year
The F-18 fly-over is always a crowd pleaser
Australian Formula 4
greetings from your correspondent

Wow, awesome pictures and envious of your access.
Seeing a picture of the Ferrari makes me feel better when my decals don't lay down flat....
Also, wonder if that Marshall knew he was carrying $1 million in his arms?
