WARNING: Do NOT use super-clear on the decals. They can "burn". Here you shall use Gunze TOP-coat.

Re: Group Build Williams FW11B 1/20
Quick update. Heres were I stand, the engine is done until I get a chassis to install it into so the body is sprayed up and decals are all on. Just waiting for some Gunze Top Coat to arrive from Hong Kong and then will trial that and see what kind of result I can get. Not much else to add, hopefully have more to say in the next update...

The transit you got will probably/possibly be better. Mine was bought back in 1999 if I remember correctly. Still a good kit, be interesting to see how yours compares...

No pictures for you yet but progress has been made. Got the electrical boxes done for the back of the monocoque, the bare area has had C/F decal applied and, most importantly, I have just applied my first coat of Gunze Top Coat and, my, what an impressive product. Straight out of the can it's given a lovely smooth finish and unified the finish of all the paint and decals. Another coat should give a realistic gloss finish. Maybe even just a polish on this coat will do. It's funny stuff to spray tho, you need to be very close to the model, about 3 inches away. Gotta be very wary of putting too much on but if you get it right the results are impressive and most importantly it doesn't appear to harm decals (can you hear me TS13?). Will update with pictures as soon as I get the chance.
Thanks to Allan for mentioning Top Coat.

Look forward to the pictures. The Gunze Top Coat is good stiff, just don't get a run in it, because it's a real pain to sand them out..
