Danny's PC-17 1988
I will get some outdoor pics up when the weather breaks....in April...?
This, of coarse is the AMT kit with Indycal decals and a driver figure through Wim at bestbalsakits.
Added some wiring to the engine, and painted using Duplicolor primers and paints. The gold is CDE 1604 Universal gold 'high heat' engine enamel.
Another no stress, quick build to add to the collection....
Now back to that 312T4 collecting dust on the shelf hehehe
Cheers

Re: Danny's PC-17 1988
Hi Bruce,
It is a very nice CART racer. I really like the gold color.
I like the CART cars and have a couple of them from AMT. I also have 2 from Revel in 1/24. They all can build up to nice models.

Really great job. I like the detailing and really thinks it adds a bunch to it.

Thank you all
CK, Marco, Jordan, Mark, marlborored .. just need to add the steering wheel and cluster
These AMT kits have become almost an obsession with me...
I'm now planning a build of a turn 3 diorama .... I will update...

Re: Danny's PC-17 1988
Looking good.
Will it make an appearance at any local shows?
Yes, April sounds about the right time.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: Danny's PC-17 1988
Wow, I really like that first picture with the dark background....makes the gold realistic. I have this kit and didn't have faith that I could create a deep gold finish....maybe I should try so I have a companion to the Mears model on the shelf....
