EBBRO Lotus 72E - Emerson Fittipaldi - 1973 Spanish GP
Hello,
Here is my latest finished model, EBBRO's Lotus 72E. I expected this kit to be fantastic, however I ended up slightly disappointed. I found the front suspension assembly and the gearbox both impossible to build. I attached the gearbox to the engine, and about a week later, I noticed it was wonky. So, I had to detach every single one of the rods in the engine area, and then cut the gearbox away from the engine.
But for the most part, this was a good kit.
I used Tabu Design decals for the JPS markings, Tamiya seatbelts and the EBBRO front nose frame as aftermarket parts.
I am still waiting for a nameplate, which is why there is a big gap on the base!

Sorry to hear about the wonky gearbox. Don't be disheartened by the experience. These things happen and it's all part of learning the art of assembly. I still get things wonky and I've got 3 to 4 decades head start on you . Anyway reflecting on hobby skills aside it's an impressive clean looking model and artistically laid out as well.
Well done.

You're getting more impressive with each successive project Jake. You will be teaching the rest of us stuff if you keep going at this rate. I remember some of the things I was building at your age and I would be embarrassed to show them to anybody now. Keep up the good work.

Like the display, very well laid out. Nice looking build. I'm very, very close to finishing mine but I found it a first rate kit. Very well detailed, a little fiddly but all assembles perfectly. I reckon if you built another you wouldn't have alignment issues.

Nice display Jake, Great to see is all laid out like you have done, good to see you have another build under your belt and your build rate is impressive, in fact one or two of us here could do with a build rate like yours, me included
Dede.

Great finish on the 72E !! I like how it is displayed with the body-work off, to show off the chassis and under-pinnings. You may have had some problems with the fitment, but you overcame them well, and came out beautifully.
Looking forward to seeing your next project.
Cheers,
Chris

Excellent work, Jake (once again), and nice presentation. Your perseverance is impressive, too, so you keep turning out nice builds beyond the frustrating circumstances that would have stopped me (and many of us if I may say so).
Cheers,
Greg
