Re: GB WIP. 1977 Tyrrell P34 Belgium GP Powerpacks
Well the reason I used them is that they seem to be a smaller diameter so they fit the Tyrrell's "trumpets". It was just a bonus that I was building three cars with them visible.Terry wrote:2 packets of mesh domes for 3 engines seems so obvious now that you've written it!
I think that I have come out of my "Cosworth blues" that has been around since the late 1970'th. I am actually starting to enjoy building them.

The DFV's look great, I like the additional details you're adding, they add a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing you bring the P34's together, always cool to see them.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: GB WIP. 1977 Tyrrell P34 Belgium GP in colour
Not that much has been done. I've spent eight hours in the garage today fixing rust on my Sonett.
But I've started to paint the cars and so far no big mess of it. Tamiya rattle cans this time.
Brake lines are needed at the front as well so that is what I'm working on right now.
As my experience with Indycals decals have been so positive I've decided to order some for these as well.

Re: GB WIP. 1977 Tyrrell P34 Belgium GP helmet
Another day fighting rust on my Sonett but I had a little time for modelling as well.
I like to have a helmet on the car so I took the one from the Hasegawa Lotus 79 kit. On this I glued thin paper around the bottom. It remind me of cigarette paper. I folded it double and glued it together first.
Then I folded it under and into the helmet. I am working on another helmet as well using a head from an old Tamiya kit.

Re: GB WIP. 1977 Tyrrell P34 Belgium GP. Tubes
I've done some plumbing at the rear of the car.
It feels like when I have added one tube I find two more that needs to be added but now I think it is enough, Time to do the same on the second car.
