That particular blue is just not reproducible in web colors. When I photograph it it looks great- but I'm using a wider color gamut than web browsers can handle - once I save it for web it loses it's pop.

Re: Ligier 1979
So here is the "spoon" test. All colors sprayed directly from the can onto unprimed white plastic. From the top:
TS44 Brilliant Blue
TS10 French Blue
TS23 Light Blue
TS23 sprayed over TS10
They look more different in life than in this pic

Re: Ligier 1979
I do like the colour combination spoon. Given a choice of using a single colour only I'd er towards the TS10 or TS23 rather than the TS44 if only because of scale colour (as opposed to any exact colour match). Thanks for taking the time to spray samples and post them Howard. They're an interesting comparison and this is useful in so many ways.

Re: Ligier 1979
What's the most popular F1 kit of all time? Maybe this one- Tamiyas 1:20 DFV. Wonder how many are out there? I have never tried adding fuel lines in 1:20 before but made the attempt here. Also added mesh intake covers- a bit over scale but still better than the kit plastic I hope

Seen here: in early 1970 Legendary Tamiya engineer Naburo Tanaka become the first (and to date only) man to correctly assemble the exhausts on the 1:20 DFV engine so that they all line up with the little end piece..

Re: Ligier 1979
Now that I have started with the decals, I REALLY like this TS23 over TS10 look. I am struggling with the decal on the cowling which is pretty wrinkled. I have tried Micro Sol, which helped a little. Any thoughts? I should probably have painted the white, right? I suspect another visit to Indycals is in my future..
