1979 Williams FW-07 Ford
Starting from the pits after an engine misfire off goes the Williams FW-07 Ford
Now that I finished my Brabham BT50 I can concentrate my efforts on this build.
I will try to build it as the '79 Holland GP winner - #27 Alan Jones' car. There's nothing done yet but I will show the box contents.
I will not add many details but the seatbelts and one or other little bit here and there. I need to order new decals too.
I hope the weather cooperates and gives me some less cold days so I can start priming and painting
Regards,
Starr

Based on what I see from my sales, most people build the 27.
I too look forward to seeing this. I love seeing these built up.

Agreed. This is a sexy car when done. And I'm sure you'll do a great job, Starr.

+1, just an advice, try to avoid use the kit decal, use indycals instead.

Re: 1979 Williams FW-07 Ford
Hi everybody!
Wow! Three months since I added my first post for the GB and only now I am back to it sorry.
Well, here is where I am with this project: parts were primed and some were painted. I separated the engine cow from the front and opened the two little holes on the front one.
Looking at the pictures of the cars, I noticed that the car #27 has a rollover bar a little different and since the part is already painted I may change my mind and build the car #28 instead.
I still need to order the decals for this model. Good that I saw this before I order them.
That's it for now, not much, I know, but at least this model isn't back in the box.
Till next update that I hope won't take too long as this one.
Regards,
Starr

I love it when I see that those old Tamiyas still get build and bring so much joy ..This cleary shows that the "old school" kits are still very popular...Keep us posted !
