Help with MFH seat belts

Hi guys

I wonder if someone can help me about the 1/20 MFH seat belts, I bought a blue version but I do not understand how a company like them put as instructions only a image like attached. It's very disappointed

I found a better instructions for the 1/12 version, so I have 2 questions:

1. Can I use the 1/12 instructions for the 1/20 version?
2. What is and how should I use the part with 3 divisions?

And if someone know a place for a better tutorial or video how assembly it I will be glad

hello ..just goggle it ,I think there is a couple of videos ,you need to know how to bend photo etch etc , make sure you understand before you start ,so easy to ruin the parts ,even videos on how to bend photo etch will help ,makes some great parts when you learn how to use it ..Joe

I really already try to search online, but I did not found any build for this specific set, not in Google and You Tube. And I spent a lot of time looking for F1 1/20 build material

And I also try to found for what is that image attached in my first post.

Maybe I need to improve my search skills because I really do not found it.

But I will keep searching…

Hello Cristiano,
I am not familiar with the 1/12 sets, but I would think you could use them as a guide.
The 3 strips you show are double sided tape. They are quite thin and can be tricky.
They can be used under the belt material to hold them in place against the seat. You can also use the tape underneath the material that loops through the buckles to hold them in place. Just cut them to required pieces.
The belts can be tricky things to assemble, patience is required.
They are worth the effort though.

Hi Tim, great thanks now it's more clear

I started and the photo etched elements was ok, but the belt it self it's a nightmare, every time I try to pass through some element it start to shred. It's really painfully.

I'll try more tomorrow.

For the end that goes through the buckles, you can cut it in a vee (taper). It should then go through the slot in the buckle easier without fraying. Folder it back behind the buckle and hold in place with the tape.
It can be trickier when placing through the shoulder adjusters. Tweezers with a sharpish point are also helpful to pull belt through.
I also have a very sharp and fine pair of embroiderers scissors which I use to trim any frayed fibres.
Don't expect to get it right first time. It can take many attempts to feed it through the etched parts. Just cut off frayed end and start again.
Stick at it...you will eventually find the method that works for you.

For the double sided tape, cut into pieces about 1.5 cm long and apply to back of the seat belt material

Cut the belt material in a V to pass through the PE

With the double sided tape with film removed fold the belt over and the tape holds

The double sided tape is great, paperthin and it glues like hell, used it on my Lotus 99T to place the seatbelts just like simply thrown down, glue attacks the belt material and changes the colour, better is using this tape.

If you ever make a strap again, cut the strap into a V and lightly glue the cut with gel-like seconds glue. Apply carefully with a toothpick. Then the material no longer frays. The double sided tape is the best you can use. Other glues change the color of the material which makes the result look bad. Your seat with drm belt looks very good. My first try wasn't that good.
