Polishing out Gravity 2k clear coat

Hi guys,

I've just finished clear coating my latest model using Gravity spain 2k clear. Stuff works great. But as usual, tiny amounts of dust did somehow find its way onto the finish.

Im just wondering if anyone has a quick and good method like polishing so that the dust cant been seen? Im really not into the whole process of using various grits of polishing paper over the entire car, as im trying to save time. With work and other commitments, im always finding ways to do things more efficiently.
Maybe just 1 grit localised polishing + polish? Whats brands do you use? Thanks

I am no guru, however given the situation you are in, I see 3 options:

1) Leave it be.
2) Correct the local area by flattening out the dust spot(s) and then polishing out the area(s). However, the end result will be an area or areas that have a surface finish that is different from the rest on the model.
3) Polish out the entire model to get a uniform surface finish.

Cheers,
Mike

I once tried the coarse, medium and fine range of polishing compounds from Zero Paints and the results were not to my satisfaction.

So I returned to using Tamiya's coarse, fine, and finish range of polishing compounds.

I have not tried any others.

For what it is worth, I once accidentally tried to soften decals using a brush painted clear cote (I confused myself with similar bottles), and after sanding the cote down and then using Tamiya's polishing compounds you could no longer tell the difference, so it is excellent stuff :)
