When you say a fascination for a car tamiya own's it is rather strange that the lots sitting next to the Tyrrell has never been produced as a kit in any given scale.....
Next to the P34 is a lotus 92...

I am 60+ and returned to modeling after almost 40 years of hiatus. Children already have their families and lives. I put my savings aside in my old age. Eyes and precision of hands not what they used to be. Life is short. That is why I am building MFH 1/12. They are expensive, but a lot of fun to build. I was doing a Mercedes 300 SL 1/8 from Eaglemoss. Expensive too, but it didn't give me half the satisfaction. I was building other plastic ones. For example, Tamiya has been repeating the same 1/12 sets for 50 years. Hiro releases several new ones to the market every year. And this is beautiful !

And one more thing...

... I try to buy everything second-hand. Cheaper. Which doesn't mean cheap with MFH :)
