1/12 decals

Post by pksmontana »

Hey to all,
I am building the 1/12 Tamiya MS 11 Matra. I want to number it as the car that finished 2nd in the Netherlands.
I need to get 3 white roundels with the number 17. I have the Indycals set but the wrong number. I asked if I could buy the three needed roundels and he will not do it. Not sure I understand that but does not matter. Not sure customer service is one of his strong suits.
Is there some other place I can order these simple decals? I am afraid the kit decals are so old they will be brittle and not usable.
Not a big deal but I would like to try.
Thanks for any input you may have.

I believe spotmodel offers a custom service via their print labs brand

First I think the negative post about indycals in unneccesary. So you want white roundels with a 17 that he doesn't have in stock..so he needs to do them exclusively for you?? I can understand he won't do that.

Are you able to do the desired numbers on your PC so a printing service like the one from spotmodel would be an option. Probably the easiest would be to paint the white roundels and print the number at home...!?

Why not pain them? The numbers 1 and 7 is the easiest numbers to cut masks for as there are only straight lines.
I did this on my 1/25 scale 1950 cars: https://baecklund.eu/scalemodels/gig/oldF1.html
