Has to be the Lotus 76 for me. Would prefer it in 1:12 too, but that's a dream...
Derek, See if you can have a word with Hiro-san !!

This group of cars kind of represents an era in F1 I like the least.
Having said that, I voted for Shadow (by far my No. 1 choice), Lotus, and the Renault.
I notice nothing from Maranello

That's because Ferrari's of this era have all been kitted already except for only a few cars that never did very well. Besides that Ferraris in my opinion are overrated and it is my poll The only Ferrari from this era not available in kit form that interests me is the Snow Plow 312B3. So F--ing ugly it's cool!!

What kit exists of the 1974 Ferrari 312T?
That's my favorite Ferrari of the 1970s, mostly because it's all red.
I can't stand the red and white "Campbell Soup" can era of Ferrari!
Although when they went back to it for the F93A, I always liked the addition of the white!
But 1993 is one of the best years ever for F1 car design.

There was no '74 312T, there was the 1974 312B3, and you should probably check out Model Factory Hiro's latest release if that interest you. The 312T was not introduced until 1975. That car has been modeled multiple times.

One of my ongoing projects is Tyrrell 008 in 1/12 scale. The second is Shadow DN1 and the third Tyrrell 011. They are full scrath except DFV, he is from Tamiya

All of them. In 1/20 scale I have all those kits apart from the Surtees. Half of them even built already
Apart from these I would like to have the early Williams cars FW01, FW02, FW03, FW04. Most of them unsuccessful but having some charm. And the Williams Wolf FW05, completely unsuccessful but for me one of the most beautiful cars ever.

And please don't be one of those who complains about the cost of MM kits. That's not what this is about!!!

Re: If you could build any one of these mid 70's cars which would you choose??
The subjects on the list are all valid candidates, but for my money, I would love to see a few proper full detail kits of some iconic cars that have been modeled several times before by other manufacturers. A late season 1973 Lotus 72 would be one for me. Many have have made the 72, but a late season version such as the '73 Italian GP 1-2 of Ronnie & Emerson would be terrific, and can't be made made without a huge amount of re-engineering, some of us just don't have the skills & tools to pull that off. The 72 was a car that went through a non-stop, race to race evolution, especially during the 1973 season, and almost all of the models that exist are of the late '72-early '73 variety.
Same with the 1973 Tyrrell 006's. The Williams FW07 was another car that was barely recognizable in 1982 from the device that made its debut at Jarama in 1979.

Re: If you could build any one of these mid 70's cars which would you choose??
None of the cars reaaaallly appeal to me or would be on my must have or even "interesting enough" list. However, that aside, my first choice is the March 711 simply because it looks the most like the cigars of the 1960s. That skateboard wing on the front looks a bit odd, and if it had a regular wing there - or none at all - I would actually quite like it.
My second choice would either be the Hesketh 308B (depending on which nose we're talking about) or the Surtees TS19. Lastly it would be the Renault RS01, however, I do not like the colour scheme one bit, yellow ugh.
In the end I've voted for the March 711, and only that, since I set myself to "if you could build just one". Otherwise you've my runners up above
/edit
For clarification purposes. I have based my decision solely on the looks of the car. Not on the driver, team or significance historically. With that in mind, Hunt would probably move on up.
