Kit size?

Post by Orso »

I would like a 1/20 scale kit of the latest ruless to compare to the old cars. I planned to get the Ferrari SF70H but they are hard to find so would the Ebbro McLarens be the same size?

No, it would need to be 2017 onwards when they jumped in size, width going from 1800mm to 2000mm for example, the McLaren-Hondas were from before then.

It would be not problem to order the Tamiya kit in Germany.
If you need help with order/shipment do not hesitate to write a PM.

Here is a size comparison of the 2015 EBBRO Mclaren and my 3D Printed 2019 Mclaren that used a 2017 Tamiya Ferrari as it's base.

Thanks for the replies. The Ferrari is what I will look for then.
Any links to shops in Germany that still have the kit?

What Prost said about his car "It's a truck!" was not a criticism....
It was a prophecy!!!
Basicly nowadays cars are like 1/18 versions of a former 1/20! :|

Anyway waht would you need to play the "oldie" role?
a 1983 Williams (ultra short wheelsbase and shortened rear overhang from 80cm to 60), or if you prefer same color and brand, the 126# was also quite short... :D
